To start off, this was a takeout order, but partially dine-in. First time I’ve ever been to this place, which is a little worrying because you don’t know what you’re walking into. Right when the door closed behind me as I walked in, the employee greeted us. Me and my buddy ordered a couple of turkey “poor boys” which was a pretty cool and unique name (especially for a business open OVER 60 YEARS!) which made it feel like I was back in that era. Once we ordered, a gentleman other came from the back and was the owner. He greeted us and gave us a short brief background of their history. As a foodie, I asked what was his go to sandwich? He said “the bomber” which is their unique spin on an Italian beef. Our sandwiches were already made, so I said we’ll give it a try the next time we come in. What does the owner do? Runs to the kitchen, and literally makes me a sample bomber. I was extremely upset. Why was I upset? Because I did not order a whole bomber to go! I couldn’t get even snap a photo of it before I devoured the whole thing! NEVER HAD A THIN SLICED PICKLE ITALIAN BEEF WITH THEIR SPECIAL MAYO. BEST THING EVER. 15/10 and will definitely be back for more!!!!! #1 spot in the north shore!!

Infinity/10 if your looking for a taste of the original chicago, you can probably lick the street or pay a visit with Spiro, had the Italian beef it was amazing. Such a warm and welcome environment. Not a long wait for good food. Check them out you will not be disappointed

I’m a Huge Italian Beef lover , Some of my favorite places are in the Chicagoland areas

This place had great ratings online so I decided to give them a try , the owner recommended the bomber Italian beef

My honest opinion, I did not enjoy it
The meat was not shredded or thin to my liking. The pickles and the gyro tasting sauce threw off the entire flavor. Pickles DO NOT GO ON A ITALIAN BEEF !!!!!!
Meat could have been hotter
I wish I could have ordered what I truly wanted which was the regular Italian beef but the pressure from the owner to try the Bomber beef was so intense I felt forced.
The customer service was welcoming / a little over the top as well ,$25 for a beef ;fries ; and drink was not worth the money , Unfortunately I could not continue try to force myself to enjoy nor eat it

First time visit and had to get the Bomber after reading all the reviews. Definitely lived up to the hype, and Peter is a class act! I love supporting smaller family businesses like this, and Peter really cares about his customers. There’s a reason that they’ve been in business for 58 years here in Glenview.

For $16.00 I expected my meat to be hot. The meat was lukewarm at best, very disappointing. Spent over $70 and everyone was highly disappointed. The fries were fresh and the customer service was phenm

The BOMBER sandwich/sub is absolutely delicious.
I grew up in Glenview and the taste of that sandwich is EXACTLY THE SAME - it takes me back to my youth! BRAVO!!

Absolutely the best!!! Food service and employees were great. Best charred polish I have had in a long time. Taste tested the beef!!! Fantastic. Will be eating there again real soon!!!!!
