Everyone was great! Very knowledgeable Blane who I adopted had surgery before I took him in and now needs the second half of it and they are covering it which I thought was great! They had even called a few days after I took him home just to see how he was. Very thoughtful!

Fantastic experience throughout adopting our sweet boy. Staff were helpful, attentive, and provided us with all of his documents and veterinary care. On top of that, they sent us home with a large box of toys/treats and a certificate for a free wellness exam AND follow up at a VCA clinic. Highly recommend Lancaster SPCA?

I don’t know her name. But the wonderful human who showed us Roger , she is someone you just know is a good human! Everyone there is awesome! They were kind from the door. I have been diff pounds , some a part of SPCA some not. But the people here , they deff care about these dogs and finding them homes. They have amazing dogs there right now , hopefully they all find homes. If I had room I would take them all

Went to the ASPCA in Lancaster wanted to adopt a single senior dog named Twinkle. When I arrived at the facility I was totaled ignored by the entire staff, despite I was the only person in the place. After getting FINALLY someones attention I got nothing but attitude. Filed out all the appropriate application forms, but was told the dog was in foster care. The girl was curt, uninformative and just acting like we were bothering, she said they would call us to meet the animal, that was 2 weeks ago. Long story short I am a long time donor to this organization, NO LONGER!!!!

Your staff is not interested in finding homes for these animals. I hope you are not paying them.

Not helpful for real stray animals. Found kittens along the side of the road and called. They immediately told us no try orca because they don't deal with strays during to possible illness.

And honestly, they tell you to call your local law enforcement first before anything. Like police can do anything

You know times have change when animals shelters don't help animals anymore.

Wanted to surrender a mother and four kittens so I filled out the form twice. They refused to even accept the form stating I did not live in Lancaster co. when in fact I do. Either they are mentally challenged or are incompetent or both. I wouldn't donate a penny. Do they have zero stars?

The staff here is wonderful. We adopted Pebblez last week after losing our Boxer of 9yrs. We found each other by luck and couldn't be happier. Thank you to the Lancaster SPCA, our hearts are full?

I adopted a German Shepherd mix named Marty from them in Feb 2024. The staff were very nice and very helpful. One took Marty and I to a fenced-in enclosure outside. He told me all about Marty and asked if I had any questions. Then we went back inside. I filled out an adoption contract and paid for him. They gave me his paperwork and a stuffed lamb which is still his favorite toy. The thing I liked best is that they don't make you jump through hoops like some shelters do. You show up and look at one or more dogs. If you like one you can adopt him that day. I am very happy with the Lancaster SPCA and with Marty.
